The Perfect Storm
Why So Many Kids Are Overwhelmed — And What’s Really Going On
5 March 2026 • Thursday evening • 7:00–8:00pm
📍 Kindred Chiropractic

What this is
You’ve tried the diets.
The supplements.
The sleep routines.
The behaviour charts.
And yet… something still feels off.
Meltdowns.
Anxiety.
Gut troubles.
Sleep struggles.
Sensory overload.
You’re not imagining it.

And you’re definitely not alone.

This workshop explores what we call “The Perfect Storm” — a build-up of stress on a child’s developing nervous system that can begin as early as pregnancy and accumulate through birth, illness, medications, environmental load, and life stress.
It’s not about blame.
It’s not about bad parenting.
It’s not about genetics versus toxins.
It’s about understanding how stress shapes development.

Why this matters
Chronic health challenges in children are rising globally.
Autism.
ADHD.
Anxiety.
Digestive issues.
Chronic ear infections.
Sensory processing challenges.

While awareness and diagnosis have improved, research also shows that early life stress, birth interventions, microbiome disruption, and nervous system dysregulation all influence development.
When a child’s autonomic nervous system becomes stuck in survival mode, behaviours start to make more sense.
In this workshop, Dr Devon will unpack:
how prenatal and early life stress can affect development
what dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system looks like
the role of the vagus nerve in digestion, mood, sleep and resilience
why many traditional approaches focus on symptoms, not systems
what practical, natural support can look like
This isn’t about adding more to your to-do list.
It’s about seeing the full picture.

This workshop is especially supportive if you:
have a child who is sensitive, reactive or anxious
are navigating ADHD or autism
feel stuck in cycles of illness or behavioural stress
want to better understand your child’s nervous system
are tired of surface-level explanations

You’ll leave with:
a clearer framework for understanding development
language that helps behaviours make sense
practical strategies to support regulation at home
a grounded next step — whatever that looks like for your family
And most importantly — hope.

Meet your host: Dr Devon Lampard-Ali
Dr Devon is a PXDocs certified chiropractor at Kindred Chiropractic with a strong interest in paediatric nervous system development and regulation.
Her approach is thoughtful, gentle, and grounded in understanding how the brain and body adapt to stress across early life.
She believes that when we understand the nervous system, children make more sense — and parents feel more empowered.

How this fits with chiropractic care
Chiropractic focuses on supporting the structure and communication of the nervous system.
Education helps parents understand what that system is navigating.
When we shift from “What’s wrong?” to “What’s happening in their nervous system?” the conversation changes.
