What this is
This is not a workout.
This is not about flexibility or performance.
This is about rest, regulation, and recovery.
Expect gentle, adaptive postures, long supported holds, guided breathwork, and deep rest, all in a supportive, low-stimulus environment.
No experience required.
Every body welcome.
Why this matters
At Kindred, we care about how your nervous system functions, not just how your body moves.
Restorative yoga can support:
nervous system regulation
stress reduction and improved sleep
recovery from injury, illness, or burnout
your body’s ability to integrate chiropractic care
Many people find this kind of practice helps them feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected to their body.
This session is especially supportive if you:
feel “wired but tired”
are recovering from injuryÂ
feel excluded by traditional yoga spaces
want a gentler way to support your nervous system
You don’t need to change your body to belong here.
Meet your teacher: Jen – Adaptive Yogi
Jen is an inclusive, adaptive yoga teacher with lived experience of disability and decades of training in restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, and accessible practices.
Her teaching is body-affirming, trauma-aware, and nervous-system friendly.
Her belief is simple:Â yoga is for every body.
How this fits with chiropractic care
Chiropractic supports the structure and communication of the nervous system.
Restorative yoga supports the state of that system.
Together, they create the conditions for your body to soften, integrate, and recalibrate.
You do not need to be a Kindred practice member to attend, so you can bring a friend.
What to wear & bring
To stay warm and fully supported, please:
Bring four blankets
– one to lie on
– one to lie under or over you
and a couple more for supporting your body in rest
Â
bring two large pillows & two small for comfort and support.
