At Kindred Chiropractic we tailor your care plan uniquely to you. Because every person and their history would naturally be different, their health journey would look completely different too. Our plans are based on research and clinical outcome evidence alongside our extensive clinical experience.  Here is what you can expect when partnering with us to care for you:
YOUR FIRST VISIT – INITIAL CONSULTATION
Your first visit with us is one of the most important appointments in your chiropractic journey. While it can be tempting to want to skip straight to an adjustment when you’re struggling, cutting corners here often means you get nowhere faster. The initial consultation is where we gather the vital information we need to provide care that’s safe, precise, and tailored to you.
This appointment is around 60 minutes and includes:

History review : we take the time to listen. You’ll share what’s going on, how long it’s been happening, what may have caused it, what you’ve tried, what worked, and what didn’t. Many people tell us they appreciate our thorough, detailed approach, which often uncovers crucial pieces of the puzzle.
Physical exam : a detailed assessment, based on your history and current concerns.
CLA Insight™ Nervous System Scans: non-invasive testing that measures how well your nervous system is adapting:
- Thermography:Â tracks heat patterns in your spine.
- Surface EMG: measures muscle activity and energy expenditure.
- Heart Rate Variability:Â shows how your body is handling stress.
Posture exam: how you hold yourself against gravity is a great indicator of sensorimotor integration.
Tytron thermography:Â so we can measure changes at every visit going forward.
Imaging referrals (if needed):
- For Blair Upper Cervical care, a 3D CBCT scan of your upper neck.
- X-ray or ultrasound referrals when appropriate.
YOUR SECOND VISIT – REPORT OF FINDINGS
Your second visit is where everything comes together. After your chiropractor has reviewed your history, assessments, and scans, we’ll sit down with you to go through your results in detail. It is your body and you we believe empowerment happens when you understand what is going on. Here’s what happens at this appointment:

Clear explanation of findings: we’ll show you what we discovered from your assessments, posture analysis, CLA Insight™ nervous system scans, and any imaging (such as X-rays or CBCT).
Personalised care plan:  you’ll receive a tailored plan that matches your goals, whether that’s rebuilding energy, addressing ongoing discomfort, or supporting your nervous system to adapt better.
First adjustment (if suitable): many people receive their first chiropractic adjustment at this visit, often using the approach best suited to them. Our team are all skilled in a variety of techniques as we know one size does not fit all.
Next steps: you’ll know how often to come in at the start, how we’ll measure progress, and what role you can play at home to support your care.
This visit is designed to give you clarity, confidence, and the opportunity to ask questions before moving forward. Our goal is for you to leave feeling informed and supported, knowing exactly what to expect from your care
FOLLOW-UP ADJUSTMENT VISITS

Once your plan begins, you’ll move into 10 minute chiropractic adjustment appointments. Some people worry: “Do I really have to keep coming back?”  Â
Like exercise, healthy eating, or better sleep, building new patterns in your body takes repetition and consistency. Like any new habit, repetition is key.
At each visit you can expect the following from our team:
- Recheck spine and neurological findings.
- Provide a suitable adjustment if neededÂ
Track progress and make recommendations.
How Often Will I Need to Come?
It depends on your situation. Someone with a long-term problem or severe injury may need more frequent visits at first. A toddler with no injuries, whose parents prefer regular checks, may come far less often. The key is to stick to your plan. Your frequency is tailored to you: your history, goals, and how your nervous system responds.
RE-EXAMINATION VISIT

Every care plan includes regular re-exams (around every few months). These 30-minute visits ensure your care is on track.
- Compare how you are feeling now to when we started.
- We retake your CLA Insight™ scans and posture photos.
- Perform tests that were positive at the first consultation.
- Review your progress and adjust your plan if needed.
Some people love re-exams because they can see measurable improvements. Others don’t like them as much because when you’re doing well, we may recommend reducing your visit frequency (and many people love the way they feel when they’re checked more often!).
Occasionally, we’ll change direction or make a new plan. This ensures your care never gets stuck and is always relevant to your needs.
